I need a new pare of underware...

So i am riding the Vstrom when all of a sudden the clutch lever sticks into the disengaged position. I was like, "Oh damn, I'm going down..." I was in the middle of Golf road, packed with traffic, slowing down fast. As I was coasting along I noticed the clutch ball end was slamming against the hand guard, causing it to stick.

I managed to get home to see that what the cause was that the break cluster needs to be lostened and moved inward toward the triple tree.

I don't have to squeeze the clutch in that far so I am able to ride it as is, but I need to adjust that a bit. I hate knowing that, if I squeeze too hard, that damn thing will stick again. Just another freaky moment that makes your heart race.

I didn't think I would literally crash, just the first thought - still gettign used to riding after my crash I think (mentally). My first reaction was a slight panic, however. Although, the way traffic moves at lunch time there, I may have gotten hit - especially knowing my luck. I coasted about 50 yards before I figured out what the problem was. People just went around me.

Haha! That was the first thing I thought, but if you start digging into the plastic, you lose some of the stability of the hand guard. Moving the whole cluster to the right will fix the problem as that part of the hand guard will stay put.

Only got the seat and grip heater and fog light button there You gotta see a goldwing cluster. I needed a manual the first few times I used it.

Just cut off the ball ends on both levers and file them down smooth. On most bikes with bark busters / hand gaurds you will see that the ball ends are cut off.

Don't be a pansy, there's plenty of plastic there. You wanted a chance to use the dremel, well here it is!! DO IT!!! PEER PRESSURE!!!

You would need to lower this quite a bit. It's as tall as the DRZ... At 6'0" I can flat foot one side and tip toe the other.

That's what I'm doing. It's all connected to the mirror cluster, so loostening a couple of screws, sliding it in, re-tighten. Done

That's easy enough! I'm 5'10" though so I wouldn't have to lower it that much, especially when I ride in my boots with heels.
