Exhaust Systems - Cheap

Looking for a full Termignani. Has anyone gotten stellar pricing somewhere? I am seeing prices all over the place and I am spinning my wheels.

Thanks.

Edit: Specifically looking for Duc 999 (not mine).

Termignoni for Ducatis can be sold only through Ducati dealers in the US, so you're fucked. And so am I. I'm drooling over full termi kit for my Multistrada but I can't justify forking out $2,700 for it.

$2,700!?

That's ridiculous. I can understand people spending a LOT of money on vehicles and the like but it floors me when a few tubes of titanium are welded together and companies charge that kind of money for it.

$19k for a Ducati? Sure, a massive amount of engineering and design time went into getting that bike from a drawing on a table to a production bike. Not to mention the material cost to actually manufacture it. I am CERTAIN that Termi didn't spend 15% of Ducati's total budget for the 999 designing and manufacturing an exhaust system (2,700/19,000= 15%), so where are they getting that figure?

Well, $2700 is full system (headers and cans) + new ECU + air filter. The whole package. I believe it's possible to negotiate it down to like $2400, but I don't think one can find it significantly cheaper. And it's not 19K - my bike cost around 13K brand new.

Trust me, he is the best man for the job. Much scrutiny was taken before awarding Robby that position.

The diamond trade is bullshit too.

I understand supply and demand but it's not like the Termi is substantially more impressive than a well made Leo Vince or something.

I know you all are going to tear that apart but understand how I'm looking at it.

Leo Vince system= 10hp for $799 Price per HP: $79
Termignoni = 16hp for $2,700 Price per HP: $175

Just not worth it IMO.

You didn't factor in poser points. Poser points alone are worth $2600.

Nevermind then, $2400ish for all that jive isn't really that terrible. Figure $1k for a full system for a 600RR plus $300 for a power commander and $50 for a filter and you're only $1k off the ducati price, that's pretty typical and not awful.

It's a Ducati thing, you wouldn't understand. I was watching Mopar leave Winks house (yeah, i was checking him out, so what?) and that thing just sounds tits.

Well I'm not suggesting he chop off his exhaust (the jewel bag) instead of the Termi (the LV bag); there is a middle ground though.

Coach bag (Leo Vince)= $300

LV and Coach, both are nice, make the women feel pretty, last a long time and get you a hummer... only with the Coach, you save $700 for your Termi system...

Yeah, also it's possible to get Arrow / Sil / Zard / Stayintune exhausts much, much cheaper. I just like the look and sound of termis. What completely pisses me off is that cans + ecu + air filter cost around 1K. I can't understand why it becomes so much more expensive once you add the headers.

Yeah, the Termi systems are bit more than most people realize.
The full 57mm Ti system for my R came with a new ECU that raises the rev limiter 500RPM, new injectors, the pipe and all carbon fiber heat guards. Price all that out individually for another system and it won't be too far off.

Attorney-at-Law: Doing my part to contribute to the downfall of western society.
