Nice weather, and it begins

so many people have gotten used to not looking out for bikes while driving their cages. And the nice weather comes. So just reminding everyone to becarefull out there on the roads.
I just picked up my new bike, an 05 bmw r1100s boxercup replica. This thing was mint. Key word in that sentence is "was"
So last night i take it for a cruise over to a buddys house, i park it and we are sitting by the window just admiring it. WE joke around as some old guy walks past it and i say "oh look i bet ya hes gana try and steal it" my budy says "no hes just getting in his car and going out" i say "yeah my luck hell back into it"
Sure enough gramps puts his car in reverse backs up very slowly and delicatly makes contact with my piece just the tire and instead of putting it in drive and just taking off, No gramps had to leave it in reverse and give it more gas.
FOOOOOOKKKKK
was i pissed and i was down three flights of stairs faster than a turbo busa.
Well heres whats f'd up on the boxercup.
Rearview miror
both rear view turn signals
scratch on the rear fairing
and a carbon fiber valve cover. which i know goes for $520
had a police report and his insurance info taken and now im just sitting here steaming!
Does anyone know where to take it to get this stuff fixed right, his insurance will pay for it, but i want my piece to look like new.
Just a reminder again watch out riding out there BUT DONT FORGET TO WATCHOUT WHERE U PARK IT!!!!!

We'r all good loving people here....aren't we?

Weak that he backed into you, that's a crummy way to start out the season. That sucks, I'm sorry.

At least you have a badass bike, post up some pics of it. I love those Boxer twins.

We need pics of the carnage!!

Sorry to hear man, I bet he looked at your bike before he got in his car too. Such a shame. If he doesn't have good insurance I'd claim on your insurance and let them go after his insurance. That's what I did when I was rear ended. Oh and I hope you had the foresight to take some pics as that may help you later if there is any doubt or if the case goes that far.

That's the down side with them "rare" "exotic" bikes. You will have to pay a crap load for new parts. Which is one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of them. Take it to CC and they will give you a super high estimate. Get the check and spend it wisely.

Let me know if the old man comes back. I'll park my Gixxer behind his car.

Also, since it's damaged, let me ride it real quick. I can get to your house in less than 5 minutes.
