I've seen this before on ESPN I think. These pilots are amazing and I'm sure it's such a rush to do some crazy sh$% like this.

I'd be up for a trip out to MI.

but if we're going to Detroit then I better ready to a few people. I heard it's kinda gangsta

this is nothing like the Air and Water show, that's more of a parade with the Blue Angels; Red Bull is Blue Angels on crack

I read this and initially thought it would be neat after seeing the Red Bull flugtag commercials. But I went to the Flugtag site and am not sure if it would be worth the trip now. I can appreciate making a "machine" that just looks cool. But I was hoping a few teams would actually try to make something that would fly a little. Every video on the site shows nearly every machine going virtually straight into the water. They are less flying machines and more parade floats. And the crowd at the Portland event looked HUGE, so if Chicago is the same, I do not know if you could even get close enough to see very well.

Maybe its more just an excuse to go somewhere with a beer tent?

I was thinking about going, but I have to head south tomorrow to take my nephew and his friends to the frickin Cardinals game. I may stay down there for the weekend, but if I come back, I may go.

Is this televised at all?? DVR possibility? The stuff these people make is quite amusing.

And, yes, it is a drunkfest.
