I have some suggestions for a book. Non-fiction and they have similar themes.

All Over But the Shoutin' by Rick Bragg

http://www.amazon.com/All-over-Shout.../dp/0679774025

or The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls.

http://www.amazon.com/Glass-Castle-M...7839083&sr=1-1

Doesn't matter to me, I would rather start with something I haven't read, but I thought a suggestion could help get things going.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

I am a fan of fiction.

We could all take turns in the order of our replies.

Me Paladin

Jrock

Chills

Norrin

I want to do a classic, one of his shorter works just to get us started.

Can everybody get it and read the first 50 pages by Sunday the 19th of April?
The whole book is about 100 pages.

I can get 50 pages read pretty quickly. Metra is conducive to reading. I have to stop by the library and pick up a copy.

I am down with some James Joyce. You are taking me back to college ... I like that. I am in for the reading the first 50 by the 19th.

I was actually going to make this suggestion since I just finished reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
But then I remember I don't really like discussing serious topics with you people because it usually comes back to bite me in the ass. I'll stick to being an annoying pain in the ass.

I should also point out that you probably will not find The Dead as a stand alson most likely it will be put in as the last part of The Dubliners.

Maybe even some of the books we read should have been read in college or we did read and now we will have a different take on them.
