small claims court

Does anyone know where I need to start with sueing someone in small claims court in Cook County?

And can I sue them for a $ amount and court costs or is that not practical?

sure, as an American we can sue anyone for anything!

just bring some money, some more money, have A LOT of time and hopefully close the case QUICK so most of that money goes to you and not the lawyers, court cost, filing fee;s,clerk fee;s delivery fee's etc, etc, etc.

wife and I are going to try to do it on our own. We used a alwyer to contact them out of court and they have completely ignored it. Our lawyer for the letter said she thinks we have a good case and won't be hard for us to do it on our own.
I just don't have a clue where to start as I have never sued anyone before.

I think it costs 150 dollars to file, and about 50-75 to have someone served by a sheriff.

And you can sue to recover for court costs.

And who is who in that picture? Is tony the one stuck to odysseys butt, or is it the other way around. And who spiked whose milk chocolate with Exlax.

I hate Cook County.....I've never had any experience with Small Claims Court in Cook, however, every other part of the Cook County Court System is a JOKE!

Good Luck with finding all the info you need.

Cook County? Ha ha good luck. You can predict the outcome of your case by either playing darts blindfolded or shooting pool one-handed. The principles of law do not apply in that county.

It's pretty easy, start searching the cook county website, you can find most of the answers to your questions there.
