Actually its OUTSTATE's (my younger brother's birthday)

Actually to me...everyday is Earth Day.

I have successful managed in the last year to reduce my non recyclable waste by 80% I keep pestering the Village that our recycle containers need to be larger!

Rep to Meech for reminding us all how the fragile our planet is.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

That is a very good point that I didn't notice until reading this post. How come our garbage cans (provided by the waste managment company) are larger that recycle containers. Shouldn't it be the other way around if they want to promote recycling? I often find my recycle can full then having to throw out recycables in the larger container. Rep coming you way if it lets me.

I am going to email the company right now.

well tell your bro happy b-day (is it on the 22nd?)

I try and live as green as possible all the time ...

I was just recently in California and they not only have the blue bin BUT they also pay people at the landfill to go thru the garbage and remove anything that can be recycled before hitting the landfill. Just thought that was so cool

as far as the recycle bin goes, I noticed that as well. I went online to try and purchase a new recycle cart that would be bigger (since 80% of my waste is recyclable as well) and they are ridiculously expensive. I wanted to just buy a Naperville garbage cart and use that for recycling but they don't allow it, which is retarded. If anyone finds a recycling cart similar to these http://naperville.il.us/dynamic_content.aspx?id=915 (looking at about a 32 gallon) let me know! Otherwise I may just purchase one and paint it blue

We have a standard bin and then a yellow topped bin for recycling. It's nice that they are both the same size. Romeoville, ahead of the times in garbage.... ~Mandy

I think it's us that are fragile, I'm pretty sure the planet is pretty tough

Oh and recycling is worse and more polluting for the environment than just tossing it in the trash. Too lazy to look up that thread at the moment where it's discussed.
