Noice. I liked the 6 series ever since they introduced it. Never had a good replacement for the 840 until the 6.

They wanted to sell me wheel/tire protection at $900 for five years. I had to think about it. The set that is on there now is just over 4k. With all the potholes, is this a good buy? It does not cover road rash, just damage to rims or tires & free replacement cost with no deductible.

I prefer to keep my cars stock, the rims are actually 7 series upgrades.

I guess so and that is a good point depending on the deductible, mine is $500. I would guess many do not file claims unless multiple wheels are damaged.

I have a $500 deductible as well on both the car and bike. I have never paid deductible because either the other party involved paid for it or I got the highest estimate possible to cover the deductible. I don't care what people say, this is not scamming the insurance. They are still in business for a reason: they're still making money hand of m'f'ing fist. You're simply expecting to pay the absolute maximum possible for the damages.

To answer your question regarding the wheel insurance plan... a BIG fat NO! Anything, and I mean ANYTHING the dealership tries to sell in addition to the car you're buying is only to increase their profit margin and will not be a worthy advantage to you.
