Big Thanks to Mao's Garage!!!

Just wanted to give Mao's Garage some much needed love. I went over there two weekends ago to have race tires put on, after 2 hours of fighting with the rear trying to get the bead to pop we gave up. We tried everything including the redneck way of lighting it on fire....but no such luck. So we tried a tire I used last year, and while balancing it we found out it had a hole in one of the treads. So....0 for 2 Last weekend I brought over a brand new tire I ordered from sportbiketrackgear.com, and it mounted perfectly. My spare rims are now mounted with new Pilot Power 2CT's...ready for Putnam May 3rd.

Thanks Mao for the help and patience. I promise no more old tires!

EDIT: Jim's Tire Service is awesome if you live out in the burbs. Great guy, great job, and NO SCRATCHES!!! Check him out if you need new rubber put on.

He also has a hose which comes in handy to wash out the green goop from tire plugger kits when you get a flat and have no choice!!!

Come on Dan you know better than this.

The first rule of Mao's garage is that, We do not talk about Mao's garage. The 2nd rule is, we do not talk about Mao's garage.

Good. You can buy me baby back ribs for lunch. I should be back home by 11am. Going to run some errands early in the morning.

We're just appreciating Mao and the good deeds he does for everyone on this board. We are after all here as a community of motorcyclists looking to benefit from each other and our various skill sets.

Definately not to take away from Jim's Tire Service in anyway, as I suspect he does EXCELLENT work as well. As do all the other board sponsors.

I know there is mention of the site sponsor etc. But how is going to Mao's any different than going to Wink's tech days or Rick's Etc? Mao doesn't charge a fee and make money off of any of his help. Instead friends get together, socialize, and learn new info from each other about their bikes. Tire changes is not all that happens. I'm not trying to start anything but I am trying to understand why there are 2 posts about Jim's Tire Service in here? I think people see it on the main page and will support the sponsors when they want. It's not like this post was ment to be some type of advertising, it was simply a thank you.

Jim does great work, however I live in the city and find Mao's a tad easier to get to. Plus he helps a lot of people out with work on their bikes that they don't know how to do by themselves.

Plus you get a happy ending when you visit Mao's.

EDIT: This thread was not supposed to be anything else except me thanking Mao for going above and beyond.
