That's why they won't move it somewhere else for the guy. The nutty thing is they are taking it down to build a walgreens there, which is odd because there is a walgreens right across the parking lot.

I'm sure the old Walgreens is a lease and going to be closed. They did the same thing at 1st Ave. and Ogden.

As a kid, I remember when that thing got put up, it's in my old neighborhood. That plaza has lots of weird art things going on. The best, and short lived, was a sculpture of the usa made entirely of landfill garbage. People were a little offended, so they took it down.

Oh, is that what that thing was? I always thought it was just a bunch of old kitchen applainces thrown at a sign that happened to be covered in bird droppings....

Ya know, Milwaukee has this ugly ass orange sundial sculpture that destroys your view of the Calatrava Museum, but it still stands. This thing is ugly, and as a sundial, it doesn't even work, so it is merely there as an art piece. Many people think it should be removed. I, for one, would like to see it go for sale up on eBay. If it gets any bids, then great, it sold for a price and it was worth at least that amount of money to one person. However, if it doesn't sell, and nobody bids on it, then its junk, and deserves to be taken down. Either way, the sundial is gone.

This is very much like this spindle. Even though it was immortalized in Wayne's World, the fact that it was for sale, and nobody even placed a bid on it, clearly says it is junk. It deserved to be taken down. Sorry guys.
