My uncle's in-laws are Chinese/Vietnamese mix and they have the dreaded Nguyen last name. They pronounce it some strange way that I can't even try to spell it out in English.

Thats weird. I've come across many Nguyens in school and work and all of them wanted it pronounced "Hck-wen" (kinda like youre hocking a loogie).

At the ed of the day they all looked alike to me anyway so I just nicknamed them all Ramen 1-7
