I am, but I've seen them already a few times . I went last year and realized I was probably the oldest one there... all the kids there were pissing me off too.

It's a band... actually the guys in the band are right around our age. They've been around for years but only got real popular a few years ago. They kind of attract the younger crowd but I've been with them from the start. Most people either like them or don't and it seems they only have heard the new stuff(starting with the album 311). I was listening to them in the early 90s and the music has changed in time but if you've never listened to them, grab some stuff off the first few albums first, then progress to the newer stuff.

well, it's kind of a mix. That's why I like them. It's sort of hard to explain I guess.... they play such a mixture of music styles all in one it's hard to say what kind. Do you have Kazaa? Download some of their music. Make sure you get songs from the older albums such as Music and Grassroots.

Grab a song called "Homebrew" one of my favorites

Hard rock? I don't remember that in their songs. I don't think there's enough weed in the world to make me actually wanna listen to those guys for more then 5 minutes. Amber is the color of your energy....who comes up with lines like that??

The same guys that come up with this: "we'll mix the hip hop reggae if we say it is so and fuck the naysayers cause they don't mean a thing cause this is what style we bring"

Some of the best songs:
Guns are for pussies
Freak out
Omaha Stylee
Who's got the erb
Welcome
Hydroponic
Nix Hex

Just to name a few

Oh and I would classify their music as a bit of funk, with some rap, raggae, and metal. They truely do have their own style so that is why you either like them or you dont. There really is no middle ground. Anyone that is thinking of taking a listen, I too would recommend the older albums as a starting point.

By the by, they put on a hell of a show each and every time. Very very cool. Seen them 8 times.

My bad? I may very well be perpetuating false information. That is how it was once described to me. I am unsure of the criterium necessary to classify something as "ska"

311 OK Get this. I was told that they were skinhead White supremacists. Because of their name. They told me that it was like 3x11. The 11th letter in the alphabet is K. So 3 x K = KKK. I think that this person also listens to records backwards too.

Has far as liking them. I think they jam. Their music always puts me in a good mood.
