Nice. When cops admit to tailgating at 140mph. Guess if Texas can't do anything about it we should take a group ride to Dallas.

My wife thinks we're a bunch of Top Gun wannabes with our call signs, so for future reference, I'm Roger

I guess if you're not going to stop that would be about time to twist the throttle!

Seriously though, it's kind of sad that enough sport bikers ride crazily that many people consider speed alone something dangerous. The fact is that on the open highway 100+ is not dangerous at all, but it will still get your bike impounded and you jailed in many states.

Do you have any idea how many idiots are going to read this and say to themselves......" The hell with it, the odds are with me Im gonna run and see what happens"

Is this what you meant by posting this PJ?

A ticket is not worth running from..........consider the consequences if you dont get away...
Way heavier fines,,, possible jail time,,,, a very possible crash while attempting to flee, with major bodily harm if you do go down... And that doesnt even include the ass kicking your gonna get from the cop that walks up on your limp ass laying in the ditch!

This is gonna hurt!

Nah, this wasn't meant to start any trouble. I just thought it was an interesting read seeing what the po-po has to say about us. I'll take it down if that's what you guys want.

I think the guys who are running aren't influenced by police message boards. Little brains, big balls, short life spans.

What I didn;t like is how one cop said that he doesn't even cut someone slack for pulling right over and stopping... shit, then that's just encouraging riders to run.

There has been at least one time at nigth that I knew if I nailed the throttle I was in too remote of an area for him to give chase....plus i knew the road very well.... yet I had all my paperwork and still got nailed for a measly 70 in a 55. I was just going home.

on backroads for a short burst, I regularyl hit 130+.... but I avoid doing that type of thing with other cars around on a busy street

I'm not one to preach, but I'll try to save my speeding for track days. I usually try to keep my commuting speed to what traffic is doing, which means sometimes 15 over the limit. The only time I'm way over the limit, are on my twisties. I think these cops have it in for the squids doing triple digit speeds on super slabs or 25 over the limit in a school zone,

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.
