Something funky with the conversion rate on that site or it's not dollars. $1180 for a kids bike?

But with that said, my mountain bike retailed for more than some people spend on their motorcycle or car.

Why look on a chinese site for Trek bikes?

If you look at the website address you will find an "hk" at the end of .com. This is a site based in Hong Kong and their currency is also called the dollar. The March exchange rate is 1 USD = 0.1285 HKD (Hong Kong Dollar). So multiply the cost by the rate and that is your USD amount.
