Cruised on down to Evansville

So, I had to take the 'Wing down to Evansville. I knew it was going to rain so I geared up appropriately. It actually didn't rain as much as I anticipated...

Anyhow, I took some nice roads through Indiana. Once you get farther south, there are some nice routes that stretch pretty far. I had to rely on the GPS a bit, but it turned out to be a very nice ride. I slabbed it home today as I wanted to be rested up for the Ill/Wi/Iowa preride tomorrow. Between Friday, Saturday, and Tomorrow I will have 1200+ miles under my belt. Feels very good to be riding again. It really was a LONG winter.

That is the absolute worst ride on the highway from Chicago to evansville, via 57 to 64. I have to do it every 3 months for work, hate it. Did you take 41 down there, I'm sure that's a nicer route.

On the way back I took your route. Yah, it sucked, but I had the cruise set at 80 most of the way so i made it in no time. On the way down I did hit 41 for the last hour of riding, but I took a myriad of twisty routes before that. it added about 50 miles to the 400 mile trip on the way down, but it made it more interesting. I ended up staying overniht at the Marriot next to the airport, which was nicer than I expected.

There's a cool motorcycle shop in Evansville (can't think of the name), also some good roads along the river.
