Aren't all tank guards universal? Or are you talking about the one that is on the side that keeps Yamaha tanks from exploding when they hit the pavement?

Get a clear one. IMO they are the best cuz it just shows your paint color right through it.

Hahaha!

They do make them in certain shapes, hourglass, triangle, trapezoid, etc. to fit the individual tanks better.

Worse one I ever saw was the dufus that owned my buddies bike glued a mousepad to the tank! I was like WTF is that stupid looking thing. It looks aweful falling apart and sun faded.

If you want some cooler graphics on it try www.immortalgraphix.com. Otherwise, any dealer or online parts shop will sell them. I bought mine last year from a dealer and it was only like $12 or something.

Yes please specify what kind of tank gaurd you are talking about. Are you talking about the flimsy piece of sticky rubber/plastic that you stick on your tank so your belt buckle does not scratch it up or are you talking about tank sliders so when you crash you bike the tank does not explode. Like Fullthrottle stated later Yamaha r6/r1's are known to become a crispy critty cooked well done when layed down. If you race wera it is mandatory to have the tank sliders to race a late model yamaha

Yeah I am looking for the belt buckle ones, so I don't scratch my paint.
