Different strokes for different folks, I am much more impressed with a 1000hp, 4 banger then a 2000HP big block, especially turbocharged. People have been making 1000+ HP V8's for years, getting a 4 banger into that power level requires some real engineering and not just brute force. That Evo on a low power map probably still gets 25mpg.

1100/120CID = 9.2 hp/ci
2000/440CID = 4.5 hp/ci

Actually, I think it is cubic dollars.

Put 5 people in that EVO and tow a boat! Not so fast then, huh? Meanwhile, the old 455 is just as fast with 5 poeple in it as 1.

That all might be true but....

The truth still holds. V8s will make more power than a 4 banger. Period.

Top fuel v8 engines are 500ci, they are restricted to OLD technology, using pushrods, two valves per cylinder and a roots blower. They are producing 1000hp per cylinder. Any four bangers making 4000hp? Don't think so. Just think how much power and how fast those V8 cars would be if they had no restrictions and could use newer technology.

As far as MPG goes...who cares? It's a race car. It's not like you would take the AMS car and use it to drive back and forth to work everyday.

What G35? I traded that hunk of shit. Acura TL bitches, at least I am getting closer back, the TL has Brembos. I actually would really like to go all the way back to the first DSM and get another 91.

I agree, a V8 will always make more power with similar mods. Come on though, its a 1000HP 4 banger, be impressed.
