For My Fellow Mac Users

I frickin love the Apple Store on Mich Ave - Walk in to get the ipod shuffle 2gb and $100.00 Gift Card for itunes so the chick has something new to work out to and with - As I am browsing, AppleHottie approaches, finds all the stuff I need for me - I inquire about the bad ass new wireless keyboard and how uber thin and compact it is - I impulse buy it and the mouse and fuckin love it - NOW comes the best part, she asks me if I am paying cash or credit - I answer Debit, she whips out this little handheld thing, rings me up, asks if I want paper or email receipt - I answer email and in (2) seconds my phone is going off with the email right there - She then goes and gets me a bag and all this without standing on line - It was like having a fucking waitress - I tried to tip her but she would not take it

Now, before all start bashing apple, this is more of an "Apple Store" thread and how fuckin cool I think it is - Here is the keyboard I bought and dig it the most

I bought the wired keyboard and mouse at the Apple Store in Indy and they had the same setup. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I only wish I needed a Laptop as that fuckin Airbook think is WILD - I love that store - If my Monthly Plan would not double in cost by switching from Sprint to AT&T, I would prolly be on my 3rd iPhone by now

I heart my iPhone. It has its flaws but overall I like it. If the apple store had a starbucks and a ducati parts counter I would never leave.

My dad's friend has a whole sale jewelry business and he does conventions/shows all over the country where he sells his stuff. He had the hand held credit card machine (even showed me how to use it). This was like 2 years ago. I'm not sure if it sent emails though.

ehh, its not that bad. For a ultra-compact VAio similarly equipped to a Macbook Air with SSD and the like, the price is about the same, maybe more last time I checked.

it's also nice to just bum off their free wifi and hang out playing with all the gadgets in the store.

haha, yes. Everytime the GF drags me to Woodfield or the Keystone mall in Indy, thats what I do. I hook into the WiFi and play on the interweb while she shops. Otherwise I'd go nuts.

oh yeah, btw, I picked up both the wired and wireless keyboards when they came out.

wired one for the desk at home and the wireless one goes in the work bag for use in the office or travel.

some moron got the idea to implement 'mobility cubes' where there's a dock/keyboard/mouse setup for generic use with our laptops. nice idea except for the part that you have to spend a while hosing down the keyboard/mouse/phone with alcohol wipes especially during cold & flu season.

sooooooooo much better now just popping out the tiny wireless keyboard and pairing it up with either my mac or dell laptop that I'm using that day

the feel of the keys is awesome and the speed is a lot greater than the old clunker style PS2 abominations.

Why don't you just jailbreak it? My roommate did his in about 30 seconds and is sporting his iPhone on TMobile now. And he's not computer savvy so you know its easy as shit. You lose Visual Voice Mail, but that's about it.

Apple stores are awesome, but going there on the weekend it's a bad idea.
That one on Woodfield is always packed.

I took my wife to the apple store and she fall in love with IMac. We will probably get a new IMac 24" in next couple of weeks. Can't wait to put my pc in the closet.
