quick fix?

ody,

i snapped off part of the front fender fork cover the other day on my stock fender due to a little mishap w/ the front stand. i was just curious how much it would cost to fix it and repaint it black. sorry i don't have any pictures of mine but here's essentially where is broke off. it was a clean break. btw, this wouldn't be for the track.

thanks

the question is how pretty do you want it to look?

a little fiberglass and epoxy on the inside will leave the crack link on the outside, sand that off then fill in with plastic filler , sand smooth again and respray from the rattle can and youre done. only problem is that it is likely to crack again. I think fenders are made out of ABS inwhich case menards, lowes and homie depot will have ABS solvent glue in the plastic pipe aisle, use that and the epoxy adn fiberglass and it should be as good as new.

materials cost would be about 20 to fix plus time

I had to buy another one for my SV (GSXR front end) a little while ago. I wanted to get a carbon fiber for my GSXR and swap the original to the SV. All the high quality ones were around $200. Find a really cheap one on ebay and sand it down and repaint it.
