On Central and Irving the Southwest side of the Street there is an Awesome Mexican place.

Are you at Marino? Di's Den for Beers is always good and if you throw darts there is no better place.

Theres a good italian restaurant on Irving right past Pulaski.. on the south side of Irving. I forgot what it was called though.

If you take Irving to Pulaski and head north on pulaski about 6 blocks down theres a Pollo Campero. Best fried chicken you will ever have.

There's a Bubs -- similar to Hubs I think on Irving and Centralish. Great place for quick, fast food.

If that's Irving Park and Laramie - about 2-3 miles east on Irving Park there is a Serbian place called Beograd (it's on SW corner of Irving Park and Richmond). Cheap and great . If you don't know what to order, try Chevapi - grilled sausages with bread and sour cream.

The mexican place is Amigo Chino and they have tortas bigger than the plate. Try a Niurka, good eating. My favorite is the burrito suizo, the salsa roja is awesome!

+1 for Franks.

Hagens fish market on Central and Montrose is good too. Basically a seafood market but they have a menu for carry out. Shrimp, perch, fish & chips, you name it. Super fresh.
naragansett and irving has Mr. Zee's, really good greek chicken, dogs and burgers too, nice big servings.
And of course on Irving and central I am sure you saw Dairy Queen, fuckin' DQ blizzards rock!
For a place after work to grab a beer and food, GALVINS PUBLIC HOUSE 5901 W Lawerence. Best damn Fish and chips short of going to the UK. Huge portions too. Great food and it is a genuine Irish bar with freindly neighborhood folks and traditional brews on tap. PM me if you go here, I am always up for their fish & chips.
