Candyman scared the piss out of me back when it came out. I recently re-watched it and...not so much. But no, I still don't think I'd say it.

That and that dam Freddy Kreuger 1-2 Freddie's coming for you song...can't finish them, still freaks me out to this day. I swear something is coming out of the mirror or from underneath my bed if I finish em.

I owe my psychosis to too many Freddy Kreuger and Cheech and Chong movies at too young of an age.

slasher movies dont bother me in the least.

its the supernatural shit i hate. gremlins gives me nightmares and to this day i have to shut the basement lights off one by one til i get to the stair case.

vampires n shit has left me walking down my street at night constantly looking over my shoulder waitin to get ambushed by vampires.

but i dont know why im so afraid of em, being a vampire would kick ass. id be immortal, never have to worry about money or a job, and in every vampire movie the vampires are indulging in orgies. not a bad life.

ha! that just reminded me of something that happened when i was little. there was a drive in not too far from my house, and if you parked across the street in this restaurant's parking lot, you could have a good view of the screen. one night, after having eaten at said restaurant, my parents and i were sitting in the car mooching off the free movie.

after a few minutes, they realized it was a cheech and chong flick, and promptly sped off while my brother and i screamed for them to go back. i must've been about 5, but i remember it like it was yesterday.

The same thing happened to me. I begged my older sister and her friend to let me watch Nightmare on Elm Street when I was super young. They told me it would freak me out, but I was Mr. Little bad ass, so I took the Pepsi Challenge, and lost big time. I couldn't sleep for about a month, couldn't walk into any dark basement for like the next 8 years , just completely mentally traumatized. I couldn't watch that movie again till I was 18, at that point it was very silly and stupid to me, but back then it scared the crap out of me .

Bwahahhahh!! Everyone in their early 30s has a "My First Cheech and Chong Movie" story.

none of that bothers me. However last week we watched Disturbia and I now belive my neighbor is a serial killer.

Anyone wanna do the Chicagoland ghost tour for halloween? I'll set it up, there is a bus tour and a walking tour of Chinatown. The bus tour begins and ends at Chets Melody lounge in Willow Springs (Resurection Mary) and stops at several famous haunted places along the route. The walking China town tour is a daytime tour with lunch at threes happiness at the end. ~Mandy

I'd be down for that. I've done Richard Crowe's tour before and it was a lot of fun. I'll have to dig up the picture I took at one of the stops: its a shot of the totem pole at Addison and LSD that has a mysterious "fog" apparent on one of the sides. And no, it wasn't weather-related or a printing error.

I still cant watch Poltergeist, and I'm 27 years old now. How on earth did that movie get a PG rating?

I remember watching that movie when I was something like 7 years old. Scared the living beegezus out of me. I was in tears from it.

I think that because of that movie, I have never really been into scary movies. I mean, Ive seen the Freddy and jason movies. They are almost laughable to watch. Ive seen "The Ring," and that was just a strange movie to watch. I did enjoy Seven, but the movie was more interesting to learn and get into the head of the killer, than being a scary movie. Scream was good because it was clever and toor scarry movies to another level, but I refuse to watch things like Saw, or a lot of these other new ones coming out. They just don't interest me.
