Bartlett town stickers

This is more directed for the cops on the board but anyone with exp please jump in.

So yesterday in the mail I got forms for my bikes for city stickers. its only like $30 but the bikes are never parked on public streets in my town. If they are always kept on private property does it matter? If I dont pay for them and get pulled over in bartlett can I get a ticket or is it only a parking ticket. Im leaning right now on not paying it at all!

Even heroes know when to be scared.

Back when I had to get stickers in RL the cops would goto the local Jewel parking lot and run plates. No stickers for local registered plates = tickets on windshield. But that was 15 or so years ago. For $30 I'd just pay the damn thing. I wouldnt like it but better than being hassled.

Personally if they want to generate revenue, I'd rather they have some kind of social event, you have to make a "donation" they serve hot dogs and sodas, you actually meet the LEOs that are suppose to serve and protect the community...rather some lame ass village sticker, that annoy the crap out of people and does nothing except harbor ill will against the LEOs. Then to have the LEOs cruise grocery store parking lots for violators to write tickets is more harass and ticket than serve and protect. I think LEOs SHOULD live in the communities that they serve and protect in. Tell me how a LEO gets a sense of community if they live 4 villages away

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

They don't. But the downside is you might have to pay them enough to live in the city and that means higher taxes. Besides that, in a city as large as Chicago, the cops can live on the fringes of the city surrounded by suburbs on nearly 4 sides. These are low crime neighborhoods and so where the cops live doesn't have any impact on the place they patrol since that could be nearly 28 miles away.

Smaller cities like Evanston have white lines drawn in the sand that separate the good side of town from the bad. Its only human nature, you better yourself by becoming a cop and you then do all you can to move out of the bad part of town.

Chicago does offer incentives for police to live in certain neighborhoods but cops and teachers never want to live too close to their clients.

I think cars are $30 and bikes were $15? I bought them since I park at the train station and the cops always go through the parking lots.

Every year Lombard wants $$ for this crap too. Even for the bikes... I never park on public streets in Lombard & I haven't bought one of the stickers in 5+ yrs.

This year, for the first time, I noticed Lombard sold the account to a collection firm. I won't let that hit my credit report, so I'll be paying one way or another.

Total BS rev gen tactics if you ask me

Is that legal? Can they do that? Could I argue that i have a license plate for a track bike?

I got my application for stickers today. $15 for a Car and $13.50 for a bike. Seems cheaper than most other towns. I am just going to pay it.

Heres what can happen yes if you park on your street they can tag you.

Tho if you get pulled over by your local town they can issue you a ticket for no city sticker. Mind you its not a moving violation but they still can write it.

Doesnt matter if its a track bike or not its still registered with the state.

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

I remember the cops coming around in Hanover Park when I was a kid and ticketing all the cars parked on the street without stickers on them. No one ever got them, no one ever paid them and so many people complained, that I think they finally realized it was costing them more money patrolling, writing the tickets and taking them through the process ending up costing more than they were bringing in from the tickets. They ended up getting rid of them.

So if I dont park it on the street or the local jewel (and other stores) I should be ok?

Sure but if you pulled over i couldnt say since they technically can write you for not having it.

I know in lombard they get a feed from the state as to what vehicles I have. When they screwed up my plate at the DMV the city thought I had a new bike and sent paper work to me to get the stickers. Now who knows if they'd ever catch me if I just ignored doing it but I'd rather not deal with the hassle, I just buy mine each year and go on my merry way. (I have to get them for my cars since I park at the lombard train each day and they do check those).
