I got a new baby!

The good news is, I (completely prematurely) already bought another SV to replace the one I totalled in Deal's Gap. I didn't really plan on purchasing one so soon, but Troy found exactly what I wanted (thank you baby ) and I was able to get a hell of a deal on it, so I couldn't pass it up.

The bad news is, I just found out yesterday that I can't ride for at least 3 months from the date of the accident, so that puts me at a middle of July in the best case scenario. I guess a broken back is a bigger deal than I thought...

So the question for all of you is what should I do to my bike while I'm waiting to be able to take her for a spin. It is a 2006 SV650S, completely stock except for a side faring. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good exhaust for an SV, or any other things?

Nick, you're an SV Expert! Who's slip ons or full systems have you been impressed with on the '03+ SVs? FWIW, build quality & tone are more critical than hp gains.

Eva kinda likes the look of a CF can but I remember reading somewhere that twins & CF aren't always a good combo.

Edit: Mark mentioned the Yosh but I've never owned any of their stuff. Obviously Yosh & Zook have a long history together...

She actually scored a smokin deal. Paid less for a clean '06 with 2400 miles that SF paid for her '02 with 10k+.

Since you have extra time on your hands, play around on youtube. Just type in SV650 and the name of the exhaust you are considering. I am sure several videos will come up and a few are bound to actually have decent audio to help give you an idea of which one you may like better. You will also get a peek of how the exhaust looks on your bike.

And congratulations on the new bike, nice choice! You got the horse before you can even get back on the horse!

Thanks for the tip 78montecarlo - I did exactly that this morning. Here is what I like so far: M4 (didn't you suggest that Steve?), Two Brothers M2, and D&D...any thoughts on those?

Also, I am just interested in a slip-on, since all I care about is a better and louder sound and not extra HP.

What's the best place to buy those? I went on New Enough, Knee Draggers, and Bike Bandit and found a lot of exhausts but none of the ones I like...figures...
