Garage Spot -- Wicker Park

I think I might be moving back to the Wicker Park area, specifically Division and Ashland. Does anyone live near here and have extra room in their garage that I can rent out for my bike?

1-3 miles is OK

I would have to find an OPTIMAL room to my liking. I don't feel like blowing anywhere from 850 - 1100 on my own place. Optimal conditions are a non psycho roommate, a garage for the bike, less than 1.5 miles from work, and price range of 500-700.

Plus, I seriously think moving out to the burbs could be detrimental to my health. I would probably hang myself. I love the city hustle and bustle too much to give it up... especially in the last few years of my 20s.

Though, the smart choice would be to move to DG. I just need to find the right place or find a new job downtown!!

FWIW, I rented one side of a 2 car garage for a couple years for $100/month (cheap, I know). During that time I rented out part of the garage to 1 to 2 other bikers during the riding season and 3 to 4 other bikers during the winter for $65/month each! I was getting paid to garage my bike but you have know who you're dealing with and consider the potential liability...

I'm in Logan Square (Cali & Fullerton) and could probably make some room if you know someone who can make copies of keys that say "do not copy" on them...

Sweet, Cali and Fullerton might be my best option. How much would you charge?

Yeah, it's a block from the blue line as well. You can get the key thing taken care of?

I'm not sure... i bet I could. I honestly would only need the spot starting July 1st to end of riding season. Once riding season is over, I can store it at the 'rents till next season.

16 year old kids working at hardware stores near closing on a Friday or Saturday night are easily convinced.

At least that's how I got my college apartment key copied many times.

bump, DefyInertia has a spot for me but its still a good 2 miles away.

I'll be moving into a suhweet place on Paulina 2 blocks from Division (so literally steps away from Moonshine) on July 1st. I'm excited to say the least.

If anyone has a spot near here, i'd love to rent it from you! It would just be for the riding season, as I can store my bike at the 'rents in the winter.
