Helmet speakers

I'm thinking for an iPod or similar I'd like to get some helmet speakers. I want something that I can hear pretty clearly so I use headphones now but since my lid has slots for speakers, I thought I'd ask.

Post up with any experiences you've had and what brands you've used. Thanks!

Brian

I checked out that site, nice stuff but way more intensive than what I'm looking for.

I just want a set of little speakers that plug straight into my ipod and fit in my helmet speaker slots. Anyone on CLSB use them?

can't speak for speakers but shure ear buds rock. I don't have to turn up the Ipod any higher on the bike than off.
got these new off of e-bay for $70.00

I took a pair of $8 headphones from Radio Shack and cut the headband off. I tuck the speakers in the lining of my helmet so they rest against my ears and I'm good. Not for audiophiles but they sound as good in the helmet as they would without.

I've had good luck with the autocom speakers. They are actually much more clear if you wear earplugs. If I want sound quality I have a nice set of Shure earbuds. Its nice to switch between the two. If I am traveling for less than a hour the helmet speakers are fine.
