depends on how it was kept and how it was wrapped up. If it was left out on a table from lunch time until the end of the day and then put up I woudln't eat it the next day. If it was wrapped well right after eating I'd probably eat it up until Tuesday or Wednesday. I usually don't have leftovers though.

My name is JB, people call me JB

I have been food poisoned so many times that I've learned my lesson. I usually keep leftovers a day SOMETIMES 2 days. Never anything beyond that and it must be in the fridge.

Gross. 2 day old fly lice is disgusting. It has a stankin' ass, spoiled smell to it.

my rule is anything with mayo is offlimits for leftovers and no more than 1 day, regardless of smell or walking factor

I say if its at work, you either take it home on Fri or toss it. Too many people in the workplace that would cause a ruckus if they were to get sick after eating 3+ day-old leftovers (whether it be from the food or not).

You guys must have weak stomachs or something, I eat old food all the time (1 week +) and I never get sick. (knock on wood). Shit, I ate some leftover taco meat that was a month old. I stored it in airtight container in the fridge and it was fine.

Exactly, stuff left out most of the afternoon especially if it has mayonaise or cheese on it.....don't risk it.

+1

I give it the look test. Visible mold = Garbage. No visible mold = Smell test. Smells ok = in my stomach.

Yes!
Unless it's cheese & then the mold get scraped off, esp. the good stuff from Whole Foods.

+1

The good thing about some cheeses is they just get hard, so the bad part just breaks cleanly off, leaving only delicious cheese.

If all else fails, throw the leftover in a pan, fry it, good as new.
