"Trade in" in the same sentence as "Not loose too much" is an oxymoron.

+1 They got me. If you look at Kelley Blue book value for trade in, most dealers will give you offers very close to that, but like Keggar instructs, be prepared to be lowballed . If you can, sell it private.

If they are in the car "biz" and plan to continue to be in the "biz" they are out to make money and this means you should grab your ankles.

Kinda what I meant, albeit a little less abrasive than your presentation!

I used to work for Orland Toyota and sold Tundras. Call them and ask for Dean, he's a personal friend of mine and the most standup car salesman you'll ever meet...Really...No BS. Either call the dealership or PM me and I'll give you his cell number, don't worry, he gives it out to all his customers. If you talk to him, tell him you know Darin and he'll do whatever you want, even if its just information.

DJ

p.s.: Take it from an ex-car salesman: Go to Carmax and see what they'll give you for it first, cause they're much higher 99% of the time (they make up for it with overcharging if you buy a car there. Any other questions, hit me up
