Ody elaborate.......

I'm not trying to be difficult but I have a suggestion. Bike nights are wednesdays.

My suggestions is>>>how about the last weekend or first weekend of the month, have bike night on a saturday night. I feel it is a great idea for those who work every weekday which makes it difficult to show up on a wednesday.

Good idea or no?? It would help to get those who never show up on wed. I believe that would be good.

Please voice your opinion. Ody and anyone who agrees. This thought has been bouncing around my mis-shaped head the last 2 weeks.

I would suggest saturday afternoon/early evening though. I'm a booze bag and Saturday nights I stay as far away from my bike as possible.

+1 on the post and people will show. Just a suggestion though, if it's not at portillos and you want this for all make sure its still a centralized location. More people will show if its not WAY north or WAY south

Ken and Tony have never been against someone taking the lead and setting something up. If it becomes a trend then there is more to discuss(if anything at all) but why not see if people make it in to a big meet first

agreed. dont touch the wed thing...it works. but once or twice a month on a fri or sat night would be really cool in the summer when it stays warm all night. i love those weekend nights when we're out on the bikes all night.

think of a good spot and we'll just start doing it. it will catch on.

Last year there was a some what formal weekend meet.

Panera on Sunday mornings.

I think like others have said. Set something up to test the waters, but leave the Wednesday nights as the official meet.

There has been alot of discussion on this matter in the past. All boiling down to Wed. official night, anything else is up to the members.

Ken.

got any central spots in mind, good food, easy to get to, large parking is a must, and we gotta make sure its cool with what business that we deal with that they dont mind 100 bikers outside atleast.

throw me some more ideas and me and tony will see what we can find also.

I think this is a great idea! More time to goof around and for Robby to try to grab Ody's ass at. Plus all those flakes would have little or no excuse to drag their lazy asses out so we could meet em. I also agree that we do it somwhere besides Port's as well. Grabass FTW!!!

I always liked the idea of a Sat / Sun breakfast meet. Then you got your coffee and bullshitting while everyone decides who's going to ride where. Groups rides obviously branch off from this brunch. Kinda like the old Highland House.

But I have no street bike at the time so I will shut up now.

Or you could have it at a different locations. Maybe one a little farther north, one a little farther north-west, west, south-west etc.

Like for instance, Gurnee one week. Crystal Lake one week. St. Charles one week. etc.

Get people who are familiar with those areas to recommend someplace. If it sucks, we pick somewhere else. If its good just go back again.

Just an idea.

i love all the suggestions so far.

maybe i should try to find lets say a Sunday and Saturday weekend once a month to have a large good food place for breakfast and then have a few people host some rides out of that location?

1 large monthly gathering with a multiple rides steaming out from there?

i dont like the fact of 1 MONSTER group ride and sometimes the size will create problems with traffic, keeping it together and most of all your saftey.

so i am thinking the 1st part works best.

what ya guys think?
