Unlocked phones i can use with US Cellular

Since i had the titan (HTC) phone, and it freezes and all around sucks. Also its a brick and sadly the best thing USCC has to offer. I wanna get another unlocked phone and get it activated.

I checked the iphone but i guess since its gsm and uscc is cdma it cant be used? I also asked the guys at uscc and they said unless it has the uscc software it cant be used? How true is that?

I'm pretty sure US Cellular is CDMA, so there aren't any SIM cards you can swap. I'm not sure how unlocked phones on a CDMA network works, its not as easy as on a GSM where you simply swap sim cards.

correct, CDMA sucks for that reason.

if its GSM it def wont work on CDMA, go to www.phonescoop.com and type in the model number and you can find out if its GSM or CDMA.

You can use a another carriers (Verizon, Alltel, Sprint) phone on another CDMA network, however it's not garuenteed. Even if they do get it on all you won't be able to use all the functions of the device since carriers use different apps. assigned to them. I'd recommend to get a BB with USCeullular.

That is the reason I only like GSM Networks, I usually swap phones every 3 months.
