local bar supplier

my bro is going back to school this year with a little bit more in tow. I have given him the bar i built last year and he's looking to stock it with a bunch of pint glasses etc.

does anyone know any local suppliers where we could pick up a case or two of 16oz mixing glasses (pints) or anything else...?

thanks

Go to Gordon's Food Service. There are a couple in the area. I get all sorts of stuff in quantity there for my shop. Better yet would be if you know someone who can get you into Restaurant Depot.

hmm.... if you don't mind them used i might be able to just grab a few from the bar i work at... couple pint glasses and a pitcher or 2 wouldn't be noticed by any means... we have plastic rocks glasses though, so i couldn't grab those for you. umm... i know when i was in milwaukee there was a discount liquor store that had fantastic deals on glasses and stuff. i picked up a hacker pschorr weisse glass for like $1.50 or something. if there is a discount liquor store in your area go check them out. otherwise you can pick everything up pretty much anywhere... if you're just looking for a few things then it shouldn't cost you more than about $10 for a couple glasses and a few pitchers.

There is a giant beer paraphernalia store in Woodfield. Pint glasses from every maker of beer and some old ones too. Pitchers, tap handles, signs, you name it.

I don't remember the name of it but it should not be too hard to find.

I've been meaning to stop in there since I need to finish up my bar area too. How are their prices? Reasonable?

If he wants pour spouts and muddlers and crap check out Schweppes on North Ave too. Pretty sure they have all the standard glassware (without the logos). I think that's in Lombard.

Geoff, remember Alex B from high school? He works at Bar Stools Etc, he might hook you up. Right off of Ogden between Naperville and Lisle.
