The Awesomeness......

2005 XB still amazing me. This vehicle has been a totally kick ass I'm doing some home improvement shiat this week, and been seeing and reading about the high price of gas, so the XB gets between 30 and 32 MPG. I've been using that instead of our work trucks, that get 10 or less MPG. This week I have transported three 36 x 80 inch doors, couldn't close the liftback. Yesterday I hauled a 1/2" sheet of BC plywood, 40 feet of brick moulding and two 8 foot length of 1 x 4 clear pine, and misc stuff, bags of it, all with the lift back closed

Damn I wish they would slap a hybrid engine in the XB, I would love to get 45 to 50 MPG, and it can handle 5 large adults in comfort, it's kind of good looking in an odd sort of way, and it's extremely versatile.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

Well Eric beauty is in the eye of the beholder...thank the supreme being for that! Because if it wasn't, no one would buy the XB....or busa

Nice tailights! I like the colour too. Is yours a stick Cause I love the manual tranny, you can make the XB fly if you have the stick The new models with the 2.4l engine with the manual tranny really roll, they used the same one as the older models

I like those too. I've always wanted to buy one and paint it like a Nike Shoe Box, Size 73 US.

I had to paint the 2 story entrance way in my house this past weekend, and needed to buy an extension ladder to do it.

Went to Home Depot, bought a cheap, 16 ft. extension ladder, and set it outside my Scion tC. A bunch of contractors with there fancy work trucks with ladder racks and everything watched me put the ladder in my car, close the trunk and drive off. The looks on their faces were awesome.

Scion FTMFW!

I kinda like the new one..... it's growing on me.

Wonder what kind of MPG you get with the 2.4 , sure the performance is better.

My 07 tC (same motor) gets between 24 and 25 mpg city. I don't drive on the highway much, have a heavy foot and mainly drive during work commute.

thanks man...put some pics up of yours....oh...and if you want the tail lights...here is a link to them...mine is automatice...im very rough on stick shift cars...(too many years street racing)...so i chose auto...you would too if you had to replace motor mounts at less then every 50k miles...do it 3 times on cars and its not CHEAP....plus i got the bike, so i dont need power...i can get that by just jumpin on the bike...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCION...3227QQtcZphoto

i bought them off this guy for $50 plus shipping...those are currently at 60+ right now...but they completely change the look of the damn car...HUGE differance...the new ones only get about 28 hwy TOPS...even with summer fuel...but there is a HUGE differance in performance in the new ones...same motor as in the Tc model (the coupe)...so you get more performance, but lose the MPG...i chose the MPG personally and the looks of the XB 1st generation...i dont like the new ones except for the new release series 5 they just came out with...the stock tail lights vrs the aftermarket ones are side by side...
