Kanye West Show

Anybody else go to the Kanye West concert last night? There was some funny S$#@ happening...Tons of teenie boppers wearing Kanye-style sunglasses, jailbait wearing clothes that even strippers would feel dirty wearing, and some of the worst honkie-dancing I've ever seen!

I was not impressed with Kanye's performance at all. His first 3 songs were all slower songs, and after that I just kinda sat down and waited for it to end. Lupe Fiasco was awesome though, and N.E.R.D. rocked the house

I had a feeling that would happen as he got bigger. I got a chance to see him at the HOB before his first album came out. It was awesome, great show tons of energy and real hip hop fans.

No way......KW has lyrics P Diddy wishes he could "sample" in his dreams.

I haven't been to a KW show though, but I do listen to his CDs all the time. His last two and Commons last two CDs have some songs I don't get tired of listening to.

Lupe Fiasco's NERD edition CD is sick. The Gold Watch and the Paris,Tokyo tracks are 2 of my faves.

Kanye is bad ass. His part in the 'lollipop' remix is quite funny.

Hip Hop is best when listened to in the car or at the club. Watching a live Hip Hop live sucks IMO.

Name 1 person that matches his lyrical skill. Someone that came out about the same time. LF doesn't count.

Commercialized? Um, we'll start with Eminem, Jay-Z, T.I., Mobb Deep...shit I could probably write some good lyrics in the time it takes me to pinch one I know I left this open for controversy, so if you don't agree with me, J/k!

Kanye's lyrics are good, but I was saying that in concert he blows. On a side note, he's actually in my Freshman Yearbook for Shepard High School. He went to Polaris High School in Oak Lawn, and the Polaris yearbook is attached to the back of the Shepard yearbook.
