You will have to pay an early termination usually about $250.00.

This is most likely scenario.

i used to be a sprint rep at best buy and the only way your gonna be able to get out of it is early termination of 200 bucks.. it is possible to cancel the contract early with no termination but that wont happen unless you know people

sometimes you need to run before you can walk

go to yahoo and look at the story they have on the 3g. They say it has hidden fees that actually have you paying more in service.

wireless pc card and data plan on a phone are 2 different things, unless you pay a tethering fee from the provider. Or cheat it with software, but that can be risky.

yeah i know about canceling it.

also cook, yeah i wanted to tether, you can do that with the iphone, unless your risking them finding out?

i saw it was a 60.00 option but then i heard you can do it for free.

so free means steeling huh?

if so ill just keep the pc card.

but i gotta know for sure to make the right choice.

thanks guys.

tethering is usually an extra charge Ken unless you find some hack.

Actually not a bad idea. Use a ridiculous amount of bandwidth. 5 gigs a month on a laptop isn't that much. 10GB a day might be alot on a laptop. It might be a challenge, but if you use up 200GB or more of bandwidth, I'm pretty sure they would drop you very quickly. Find out if tethering is extra, because you don't want to get screwed when you get your iPhone on tethering fees.

This site is the bomb. Through here, you can get access to special 800 numbers such as the retentions dept, who will bend over backwards to keep you, to executive services, who you turn to if customer service is royally screwing you.

There are also a number of CSRs who are active members of the board, who genuinely want to help out. Check it out.

The 5gb limit is there and "if" they want to cancel you they will. Most companies have a policy in place with limits of bandwidth just for precautions if something were to happen down the lines. But most companies don't execute it tho, unless it's USCelluar.

Also I really wouldn't recommend tethering with the Iphone without the tethering plan, I've heard and read some bad experiences when you get caught up.
