Know anything about guitars??

I noticed that when i'm using harmonics on the 12th fret, the highest 3 strings sound fuzzy, but anywhere else (5th, 7th, 19th) they're clear...and when playing an F on the high E string (first fret) it does it as well. I'm not sure if i just need some new strings now, or if it's something to do with the nut or bridge...any recommendations??

It's an acoustic guitar, btw. TIA

I mainly use an electric, but you should elaborate more on what you mean by "fuzzy". If it is like a buzzing sound, then you might have fret buzz. Electric and acoustics are both the same fundamentally, except for how they project sound. If the bridge is too low it'll fret buzz, same with the nut. Then there is also the chance that your guitar's truss rod might be out of spec. I doubt its old strings, as old strings mainly effect tone and intonation.

Search up online on how to measure the action of your guitar because if it is buzzing then the action is probably off. If you know how to fix it yourself, go at it. If you don't, I suggest bringing it to a guitar tech and have him look at it.

it sounds more like something in the guitar rattling...shitty.

I'm willing to bet it's because of a nice 1/2" crack, ~1 mm deep that my sister put on it that's causing it.

lower notes seem to buzz a little too...what a piece
