The NEW McDonald's

When I was out riding yesterday I came across a McDonald's in Romeoville that has you order your own food. Thought this was kinda cool. Does anyone else know of a similar one?

Thank god for this. I'm tired of having to repeat the English language three times just so the order can be messed up any ways

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

interesting... they've also been experimenting with doing the drive-thrus like they do a call center. You may be placing your order in the drive-thru with somebody in India.

Nothing says fun like when they start asking "Can I help you?" in spanish. Either speak fucking english or risk getting your damn head smacked.

Pretty cool idea. My biggest complaint about McD's is the double drive through. I think they have actually given me MY order on the first try once or twice. I hate having to repeat my order back to them once I get to the window.

That McD's is a few blocks from our house. It is a global training center. They close it once a year for major rehab, and closed from time to time to shoot commercials. I took Rick (Firebretha) there once, but the POS screens were down. He was a sad panda.

They tried this in St. Charles and took them out within a couple of months. Really nice idea, though.

Ride smart... stupid hurts.

The Romeoville store is the only store you will see them in for now. We have another pilot store in Germany which showcases some of our newest POS technology. The Romeoville store is "close to home" for our technology innovation centers.

Those KIOSKS are cool, but we are working on a new GUI for them which is way better.

Currently, my main project is the handheld order takers. Basically, Windows Mobile devices that the crew can use to take orders on during busy periods in the stores or Drive Thru cutting lines down.

There's actually a LOT of concepts running in that Romeoville store that you wont see anywhere else for a few years. Ask a store manager there, and I'm sure they would tell you about some if they have time.

...so, yeah ...that's what I do.

Romeoville is running the automatic fry machines, and I'm pretty sure they are running an automatic grill and bun toaster.

Sean, did you used to ride an old gsxr to the McD's corp office?

I worked at the Lodge a few years ago and would see one parked in the bike parking area with a clsb sticker.

This isn't outsourced to India. It's an actual application that can be installed on a home PC. Stay at home moms, and people with disabilities can take drive through orders for McDonald's from their "home office."

This one re-opened in Dec. They do all the product and plan testing there. We had iced coffee and sweet tea almost 18 months ago. They also have a full coffee menu that only a few McDs had last time I checked. If you take I55 to Rt53 (bolingbrook) go south on Rt 53, and it's about 1.5 miles down. ~Mandy
