If you're using the warranty, than you will have to wait. They should be able to order it, but I don't think they will exchange it right there.

I would think they would exchange it. but make sure u go to a corporate store and not a dealer.

just checked with gf(applies to her company). she said call and find out which store was repair center and they should swap it out. otherwise another store will mail it to the store that's the repair center.

what service do u have?

Stupid phone. I called and they said I cannot be on the phone I am calling for, I have to call from a different phone. GRRRRRRR! At&T is being dumb today.

Why not just buy a new battery, then return the old one? I've done it before and they had no problems. I had an issue with my 1st TIlt where the battery didn't charge, so i went to the store every day to exchange the battery (yes, i went everyday for a week straight, just so i can haz my phone to work). I informed them of the issue so they noted it on my file, so i had no issue when i returned it (as long as it's within 30 days of purchase).

hmm I don't think they do an exhange on batteries since that isn't covered by the manufacters warranty since it's wear and tear type of thing.

I bought a battery for my old BB from EBay for $15 shipped. Brand new in the original package. AT&T tries to rake you over the coals if you purchase a battery through them. And despite what they say... I'm pretty sure that all Black Berry batteries are the same. The same battery that came with my 8310 also came with my 7130c 2 years ago.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't exchange it. But they (all carriers) will always come up with some excuse. Like for example I had a new phone for 2 weeks and the battery wouldn't charge so I took it back and they said they couldn't exchange the battery because they don't know what I did after I left the store. There excuse was that I was suppose to charge the phone before use. I told them that's the most retarded thing I've ever heard, don't give me that run around and either exchange the battery or i'm returning this. THe manager heard what I was saying and he told me bring the box that came with the phone and he exchanged out the phone. They couldn't exchange the battery for 1) they don't have spare batteries (AT&T) store 2) My outlet at home could of short circuited and cause the battery to be bad (the outlet at home is working just fine since I charge my other phone on it.) etc... Basically he was saying it was working for those 2 weeks and now there's a problem so he can't pinpoint the problem and I know he was saying it was my fault.

This is what I was told when I did mine and yours experience might be different, but just call cs before going in and call the store beforehand.

they exchanged mine in the store after i talked to someone on the phone (cust support). they told me to just go there and tell them the battery is junk. so i did, and got the new one. the phone was maybe 3 months old.
