I-Pass on bike?

On bikes, do we need to run the I-Pass or pay the tolls? If we do, where is the best place to mount it? I was thinking about mounting it under the solo cowl in the trunk, but was worried that it may not read. Any advice? Thanks.

I would try a search before making another thread on this.

This is almost discussed once a week.

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

Register the plate then let them take pictures. Not worth the risk of waving the i-pass around. Other's mount it on the underside of the passenger seat.

Namaste

They are correct. If your plate is registered and visible with the tollway/ipass they will cross refrence your plate and just charge your account.

Mounted on the windscreen works as well.

I have mine on my windshield with a suction cup holder.
My friend velcroed it on the windshield.
Not sure if the under the rear seat registers.
If they take your pic and charge your account you get charged the full price of the toll from my experience.

I will not dispute this but i can attest mine has never been double charged and i keep an eye on that online. Its amazing how they do that. Sometimes it only takes a day for them to charge the account from a pic and ive also seen it go back 6-10 months on a few!!! atleast they got their CONSISTANT shit together!

I meant with the I pass you get charged .40 but if they run your plate they charge you .80. That's what I noticed on my I pass account when I've done it. You can check it yourself.

I use the tollway every day for the last 2.5 years and never once have i been charge double while using the bike without the ipass. you need to call them and get your money back.

Yeah, I had a rental one time and the ipass didn't register so I got a ticket in the mail, I called them up and they still only charged me $1.60 (4 tolls at $.40 ea.)

Hehe my fault. Sorry.
I checked and I don't have to many vtolls and it just happened to be a toll that's .80.
So no they do not charge you double or full price so I'll be putting my Ipass back in my car.

I was carying the Ipass with me, but even if I hold it in my hand as I pass the toll, the blue light doesn,t light up. So I just go without it, it's a waste of time to carry it with me.

lmfao is was the process from both side that took that long But if they really wanted to a call to the rental company would reveil you in a few mins. Most rental company's have direct numbers for law enforcement.

I've seen threads on this, but I haven't seen one in awhile. As long as you have your vin # registered online for the IPass, you're fine (don't think anybody specified that yet, because I have my car AND bike registered on the same IPass).

iPiss ... I mean iPass ...

I had velcro on my tank and attached the iPiss to it, but as I found out yesterday, it didn't quite work out. Tested by going thru the manual lanes to make sure I got a *ding*. No *ding*. Yet, when I took the iPiss unit off and held it up about a foot above the tank ... I got a *ding*! So that didn't quite work out.

I won't put it on my windscreen, b/c the vibration will no doubt shake the unit off eventually.

Next I might try some sort of an armband thingy ... then I can stick my arm up thru the iPass lane to *ding*

I once saw a guy attach his iPiss unit to his helmet ... I wonder if that actually worked.

Dave

P.S. I realize that tolls were implemented to pay for the roads initial construction. So, I call it "iPiss", because I can't justify why we're still paying tolls on roads that have been already paid for 10 times over. And don't give me that "it pays for maintenance" b.s. because I-55 is maintained and we don't pay a toll there! Talk about a cash cow!

Randal: [to Dante] Would you grow up!
Becky: [to Dante] OK, I'm only telling you this because we're friends, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass-to-mouth.

You will learn quickly that keeping the Ipass on the bike is unnecessary. You simply register the bike's plate, and leave the Ipass in your car .

Thanks for all the info. I don't have plates yet, so I will just stay off the tollways for the most part. After the first post, I searched I-Pass and it came up with a couple relevant threads. Before I was searching IPass or I Pass, so that is why I was coming up with nothing. Thanks again.

That's about right ... I got a violation in the mail (9 months after I went thru the toll) with me, on the motorcycle, WITH THE IPASS IN MY HAND, holding it up to be registered ... and apparently they weren't able to figure it out.

So I called them

Operator: "Sir, do you have an iPass transponder?"
Me: "Yes I do ... you can see it clear as day in my hand in the picture you mailed me."

Schmucks!
