Pulled over tonight, nice officer!

Apparently I fit the rough description of someone that ran from the police in woodale. My plates still coming up GSXR doesnt help either, I need to run into the dmv this weekend. Officer was pretty nice considering he suspected me of a runner. So if you ride what appeared to be a buell and ran from the police in wooddale you might want to lay low a bit. (I'll leave off the lecture on running from the police but you can probably guess my stance on that)

edit: He didn't even get mad when I mentioned I wouldn't own a buell since I'm not a fan of the motor, then I found out he rides a '72 sportster. Whoops!

I wasn't, I was about 2 blocks from home in Lombard. Apparently he'd been following me for a bit down north ave as he ran my plates. I've never been so glad to ride a slow bike!!

You fit the description? Riding a completely different bike? Any optometrists in the group available to help this poor officer?

upright riding position, dark bike, rough area, plate comes up to different bike, worth pulling over I'd say.

seriously though, owning a slow bike is nice in that I knew for sure I wasn't getting yanked for speeding so I wasn't overly concerned.

Super cool he let you go and with as many times as i have been pulled over this year because of that damn plate- getting off with a warning feels pretty damn good!

Plate relocater should be here today! Why press my luck? Next cop could be a real pisser! Ya know?

Personally i think 90% of your attitude dictates a ticket or not. oh yeah...also the infraction of WHY you are getting pulled over has lots of bearing as well!

I got pulled over last night because my bike doesn't have a plate on it yet. The officer insisted for at least 5 minutes that the bike was too loud and that I had an after market exhaust on it. I was nice to him though and showed him my military ID and finally found a suzuki stamp on the pipe to prove that it was stock. He said that most stock bikes are not that loud. He finally told me to be safe and have a nice night. I hate it when people tell me what kind of day/night to have.
