Late Night Bicycle Ride July 12

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about the late night bicycle ride in the city on July 12th @ midnight!!! I'm sure some have you have done this before. I'm doing this with some friends and I thought I'd share it with you if maybe you guys wanted to do it as well...

It would be cool to get a CLSB group going and we can all wear CLSB T-Shirts to get CLSB's name out there!

Here's the info for the ride...

McDonald's L.A.T.E. Ride:
Saturday night/Sunday morning July 12/13, 2008
Join up to 10,000 bicyclists on Saturday night/Sunday morning July 12/13 for McDonald's L.A.T.E. Ride, hosted by and benefiting Friends of the Parks. Enjoy a 25-mile ride through Chicago's neighborhoods and along the lakefront. Cycle past skyscrapers, hear "Opaah!" in Greek Town, cruise through the North Side, wave to onlookers, and watch the sun rise over Lake Michigan. Plus, enjoy tons of snacks at the rest stop and breakfast back at Buckingham Fountain.

People Pedaling for Parks
McDonald's L.A.T.E. Ride is Chicago's biggest charity bicycle ride! Proceeds from the event benefit Friends of the Parks, a 33-year-old not-for-profit parks advocacy group whose mission is to protect and improve Chicago's parks and forest preserves in Cook County. Since 1975, Friends of the Parks has served as the city's strongest independent advocate for improved parks and park programs, for the creation of new parks, and for better management of Chicago's recreational resources. Friends of the Parks hosts an annual Earth Day citywide parks clean-up, an Adopt-a-Park program, community service days, a neighborhood greening initiative, and park tours. We've hosted our after-midnight ride, our biggest fundraiser, since 1989. Your generous support makes our work possible!

Hope to see you guys there!
