Ok so I know some of you put on some serious miles every year. Post up the most miles youve ridden in a year and/or how many states youv'e visited on your bike...

I guess I'll start last year I've ridden just over 10,000 miles and so far I've only been to 6 states. Planning on topping that this year but we will see.

I'm small potatoes compared to people like Jammin, Rickster, Anna and others.

Record was 15k miles in a year. Ridden in 8 states. 9 if you count Illinois

17,000+ miles on the race track last year that were traceable. I have two track bikes that don't have speedos, so assume another few thousand on top of that.

Oh yeah, about 150 miles on the street last year too, wouldn't want to forget the scary miles I rode.

Haven't kept track of miles ever, though I'm sure even when I was into longer trips I never got much over 5K in a year. Only have a tach on the track bike, and I kinda don't want to know how many miles I've done going around in circles.

Have ridden in/through 11 states though.

Not all of us are CR's, and not all of us can afford track.

How you found us: I tripped over ya on my way to the can!

In '84 did a 2 up trip on my 850 Suzuki from Chicago through Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota Wyoming, Montana into Canada, back through Wyoming into Colorado and home to Chicago through Nebraska and Iowa and Illinois. Visited the Black Hills, Custer battlefield, Glacier National Park, International Peace park, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Jackson Hole, Rocky Mountain National Park.
Got stopped by the S.D. State police and got re-routed around the Pine Ridge Indian reservation. They told us that white people disappear with regularity in Pine Ridge. Rode into the middle of a herd of Buffalo, almost got beat up by a bunch of cowboys in Butte because they thought it would be fun and escaped thanks to a bartender... Got within 100 yards of a Grizzly Bear...not on purpose, saw Old Faithful erupt, got attacked by birds while resting at the side of the road in Rocky Mountain park for the dead bugs on our pants, jackets, and helmets! Drank and ate in the "Million Dollar Bar" that has 1 million silver dollars imbedded in the bar in Wyoming...It was quite a trip and we did it in just 2 weeks.
Did a similar trip east the following year on the same bike.

Best year mileage...approximately 30,000 one summmer when I didn't use my car to go to work.

Best day mileage...coming home from Steamboat Springs Colorado on my FXRS-Sp, just under 800 miles from western Nebraska to Chicago non stop except for the necessary gas/bathroom /snack stops! I was determined to sleep in my own bed that night!

Worst ride: In 550 mile of non stop downpour rain from Niagra Falls Cananda to Chicago. Had no choice...Absolutely had to be in Chicago the next day!

Best ride: The next one!

Now this is what riding is all about... Great trips and good stories I've had my share of animals but so far no buffalo or bears... oh well something to look forward to this August in SD...I don't think I would be able to make a trip like that 2 up though... I owe you a not worthy

Last year I put 14K on the R1 was hoping for 20K this year but been doing more trackdays and less trips/rides this year.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

15-20k miles a year but I rarely drive my car (mostly during the winter). No track days..... yet. I don't think mileage is really important its more the ride you have instead. Today I buzzed around a little bit for 250 and it was fantastic. Other days I have done 600 and not had as much fun.

For the pass several years I average about 12k to 17k a year. Last year I put on 17k and this year so far I have only 4500 and five states.

HHMMMMM! I need to ride a little more, although my kids are getting older and their sports and other activities have been demanding more of my time; work school, and home improvements don’t help either! So, I’m thinking I may only hit around 12k this year; the challenge for me this year has been to maintain balance!
