New headlight for streetfighter

I'm working on putting on a new headlight for my GSXR-1000 streetfighter and came across something funny today. One of the new lights I'm mounting is a projector beam but oddly enough after getting all the wiring done and after getting it mounted, I turned on the bike and found that the beam pattern is the exact opposite of this:

There is no light below the cutoff line and all the light shoots above the horizon. It is right side up, any thoughts as to what the fuck is going on?

That involves separating the housing, something I'd rather not do. Does it come from the factory like that?

There is no way it would come from the factory with all the light above the cutoff to blind everyone. If you bought it and it came like that, someone made a mistake making the kit.

Not sure how you go about fixing it other than to just turn it upside down.

Well I figured it out, the projector on this headlight is the highbeam, the reflector is the low.

Strange.

the headlights needs a little etched logo for the decepticons along with the to punish and enslave line

maybe a light coat of black paint on the rad to make it kinda sink into the rest of the bike

Picture Overdose!!!

seriously tho looks good, looks more like a wasp then that ugly SV that was posted earlier. kinda looks like the light is the head, followed by the thorax, then pointy abdomen. but it doesn't have a stinger.?

4-wheels may be a privilege, but 2-wheels are a passion.

Yep, that's the project for this winter, a couple of the engine covers could use some "freshening" too.

I think the light would look better if it was lowered until it was snug against the lower triple.

It clears the steering damper by about 1/2" - 3/4", it won't get any closer to the forks without stressing the electrical connections to the lights.

You Bastid!

I was going to use that same light on my F3. I lost a bid on ebay for one, and never got around to bidding on any others. I wanted to do something about how far it sticks out and maybe fiberglass some side panels for it, because it looks good from the front, but awkward from the side.

One more critique for you. I'd either powdercoat the forks and bars black, or add some more gold/bronze to the bike, because I think it looks weird with just that little bit of gold up front.
