Having to cancel cell phone mid contract, have you done it?

Some may remember my post about my beef with Sprint and the constant problems that I still have to this day and they can't seem to fix. Anyone have experience getting out of their contract before it was due because of poor service? I have ALL kinds of info from where they goofed so that's not a problem lol. I've just had it.

If they change the terms of the contract, i.e. pricing for certain things goes up, or if you move to an area they don't cover, but you will need some sort of proof.
Not sure what your problem is, but have you tried calling executive services or retentions? They are much better and have more abilities than regular CS.

Me too. I gotta get out of my AT&T contract. It's been almost a year on my 2-yr contract. I have terrible reception and quality from my apt, even though their cell tower is on the roof of my highrise bldg.

No more cancellation fees in Cali. BTW Why did you move from there. You miss snow?

I know people who have done this. They just paid the fee and took their number somewhere else.

Yeah I'm trying to skip on the fees because of the hours(literaly) I have spent on the phone trying to get them to fix the mountain of billing issues that keep coming up from a very simple request, add unlimited text messages to my plan. Took 4 months to get it right, and fighting 3 $1000+ phone bills, no joke

There are ways but only with proof. Save yourself the headache and just pay the cancellation fee.

I used to have AT&T and they were terrible, so I sucked it up and paid the cancellation fee. I've been with Verizon ever since and have been so happy with them. Go with Verizon...I've never had any problems with them and their customer service is fantastic. They are a little higher priced plan wise, I believe, but you get what you pay for.
