Does this look familiar?

I saw this last night as I was looking at the new Sport Rider magazine that showed up in my mail yesterday. They showed the new Buell 1125R and I remembered seeing on here before with that GIANT side scoop on it. Not a fan of it but to each their own.

Anyways, I saw an add for it where it showed the front of the bike and thought it looked a little familiar. Here's a couple pics of the Buell...

And HDTony, I'm borrowing a picture of yours because that's what made it look familiar.

I know there's only SO many ways you can design the front of the bike but these seem pretty close. Maybe it's just me, but it looks like someone's stealing from the Italian designers for their "new look". What do you guys think?

Thats like putting a picture of rosie odonnell next to Cathrine zeta jones and saying they look similar cause they both have eyes.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

You guys are rough!

I meant the headlight/upper faring area of both of these and the square headlights that are more flat horizontally across the front. As soon as I saw the Buell last night I remembered Tony's bike and could see what they were trying to use for inspiration. I'll agree the Duc is it's own work of art, which would explain why they were trying to go with something similar.

You are kinda right, Every bike trys to copy the 916 in some way, when it came out, it was the pinnacle of sportbike design and set the trends for many years to come. back in it's inception, most sportbikes were ugly turds, read water buffalo gixxer
