Question about my suit guys...

I went down about 2 weeks ago and I have surface rips on my suit...its not all the way through. Can I ride like this if I dont have time to patch it up before the next track day?

Depends on how much you value your body. But yes, I'd say you need to patch your leathers. I doubt that would pass nesba tech.

From the pic, it's a little hard to tell but it looks like the tears are from dragging over the hard plastic elbow pads. It doesn't seem to be comprimising any of the major seams. But it will come down to the discretion of the whoever is doing tech.

Won't pass NESBA tech. Translation - Not Safe.

No concerns about the elbow, but the part near the hip needs repair as far as I can tell.

Doesn't matter if it's NESBA, STT, PTT or other. I doubt any of them would let you be a big rolling insurance risk to them with substandard performing equipment.

Don't try and cheap out with your safety equipment. It's there to provide a margin of safety to make up for some other area of the decision making process that got screwed up. i.e. going into a corner too hot, not anticipating properly what some erratic rider going by you is going to do. You could be doing nothing wrong at all and still get ass-packed by somebody with a stuck throttle, etc. etc.

I believe STT might have some leathers to rent at the track if your suit doesn't pass tech inspection. Its a crapshoot though to see if they have something your size on the rack.

Who gives a rip about insurance >>> What are you StooPid ?

Really, it's a safety issue, even if someone "lets you" ride with them
if you are at all unsure about their safety why would you ?

borrow some leathers, rent some leathers and get yours fixed.

Don't make obvious compromises with your safety man.....
