Cupping therapy

Another strange one. Call in the witch doctor.

And BTW, this is one of the tamer videos. I saw a few that are down right nasty.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

All acupuncturists do this - it's a different way of creating pressure instead of using needles. I've had it done, the heat of the flame makes a vacuum, which leaves a hickey. It doesn't hurt.

Did it do anything as far as relieving any pain?

i think the flame eats the oxygen creating the vacuum but you're more or less right. It's an accepted method of therapy though who knows how well it works.

I think I was being treating for a cold, or digestion issues and stress, so it had nothing to do with pain relief. I've been to 4 or 5 different acupuncturists over the years for various ailments and some were better experiences than others.

I had this done a month ago by a guy who learned it from his Russian grandmother. He's been doing it for 30+ years. It is considered a form of alternative medicine.
Some of you may have seen the marks at one of the Portillo's nights.
It is completely painless to apply, and feels very relaxing. Taking the cups off can be painless or painful, depending on what you're into.
It's a detoxifying method. The Chinese have been using them for hundreds of years.

I've done it. There is a doctor just off Rt 83 and ogden that does it. I was having lower back pain (kidney related) and we did cupping a few times. I did get some relief and would sleep like a baby after accupuncture and cupping treatments.

I don't ride, I cook!

Russians have been doing this for a long time. It was very common to see kids with marks on their backs when they where sick.

I had this done to my neck when I was a kid. My grandma's sister pricked certain areas around my neck (I sprained my neck) and then used the cupping method to extract what she called bad blood. Didn't do shit.
