that is true. But I got the company car on the street, all bikes and trailer in a garage, and my plan will be to get a sliip in a marina (hopefully burnham harbor) during the summer for the boat and trailer it to no mans land for cheap storage in the winter.

The prices aren't that bad. I mean you will get raped anywhere in the city. I'm just wondering about a waiting list. If so I'm fucked and no boat for Drama.

Tony likes this idea!! Just put his boat shopping on hold so he can use drama's!!

although he is thinking a 20' is too small for burnam and the rough waters of lake michigan. he would prefer Drama look for a 30'+ cabin cruiser we can fish off of Tony might even kick in for the slip for usage rights

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

We will have to watch the wave size, but did I mention that I can probably get the 6 poles and 4 down riggers that are already mounted to the boat 30+ feet is too big to ski off of so that is out, plus I'm have a specific boat in mind. I'm not shopping around.

I will be negotiating usage rights in return for mechanic help and sharing of slip costs if I decide to pull the trigger on this.

Lots of storage marinas around the Morris/Seneca Area. Otherwise there is a guy on 87th in Naperville that does boat, rv etc storage cheap...

The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character

steve...

this is where we store our boat

www.skipperbuds.com

they have covered and outdoor storage available. If you store outside it's a lot cheaper. They just winterize and shrink wrap the thing. We're docked at Winthrop Harbor North Point Marina. It’s a little ways from the city, but MUCH nicer than any of Chicago's marinas imo and the largest freshwater marina in the world. Good luck! Boaters are crazy. I think you'd fit right in.
