History Channel

Anybody that has history channel should turn it on now. A show called "The Works" is on and its all about motorcycles from how they work, to the gear you wear. Explaining everything about everything. Awesome segment about gear.

Wasnt there a thread (or within a thread) the question about counter-steering?? Problem solved, showed you how the turning opposite of the front wheel caused the bike to tip over, then straighten the wheels.

It will air again at 1am so theres another chance to see it. Definatly learned a lot from that show. You actually turn left for a split second to turn right. About 2 weeks ago I was riding around and actually playing around with that. It would start to go left and then was forced right in the turn. Cool stuff for sure.

it's counter-steering, it's kind of important to know. The debate was about what the wheel was doing mid-corner. Turn left to initiate a lean to the right, then: a) keep the wheel to the left through the turn; b) turn the wheel to the right and go through the turn.

Someone posted a video of the effects of countersteering. See if you can find it, lone guy riding someplace in Europe.
