Another Road Trip for Me

Ok, this is what I am thinking of doing:

Plan A: Road trip from Chicago, to Atlanta for one night, then down to Ocala Florida for two nights, then to West Palm Beach, FL for 2 nights, then a trip home from there. Total, including running around while I am in these cities, about 3000 miles.

Plan B: Fly to Atlanta, rent a car with unlimited miles, go do my visits in Atlanta and Florida, then fly back.

All of the above between September 29 - October 5. I have more time to spend down there by flying, but think the road trip could be fun.

Which would you do? Either way will "cost" the same in real money but the road trip obviously will add wear-and-tear to the car.

I was ALMOST thinking of Gold Winging it, but I don't trust my leg 100% yet - getting close, but not enough for that kind of trip. I am leaning toward the flying, too, but am looking for a compelling reason to road trip it.

Tempting, but my leg might shrivel up and die on the way down. Thanks for the offer though! If I were ONLY going to Florida, this would not be an issue, I would fly... Uggh, I gotta get this planned this weekend.

Fly, especially if you are solo. Safer, faster and for a single travelling person, probably cheaper.

Now if you were roadtripping with 3 others, different story.

Nope visiting friends and family All fun, no work. Ended up booking to Orlando for 194$!!! Nice. Cars are cheaper there too. So I'll be doing the Florida part first and then take a 2 day trip to Atlanta and back. Looking forward to it.
