Lots of flooding...

Heading down Milwaukee Ave from Arlington heights down to Oakton St and there were at least 4 majorly flooded areas. I then cut through a neighborhood to avoid traffic and there were three intersections where the water almost came up to the door on my Jeep. I'm glad I have an SUV I was flying through that stuff - probably pissing off cars with my wake, but I needed to get to the office

It was pretty bad on my way to work this morning. I was going to take the car but took the truck and it worked out well or I would have been stuck in this stuff also.

Paul, Goof: hahahaha! The parking lot I'm in has about 4 in at the deepest now and it's only getting higher. Paul I'm in the little strip mall right across the street from NTB on Mil & Ballard. Surprisingly I've had about 5 customers today. They were brave enough to venture through the flooded streets just to come get a few gallons of paint. One guy even said his basement has about 2 in of water but that he wasn't really worried and would rather paint!

i drove my civic years ago through water that was flowing perpendicular to the street i was on and the small ripple waves were flowing over the front of the hood. don't say it can't be done.

I just got done working a 13 hour day at Main Township highway.(unincorporated Des Plaines Niles, Glenview,Parkridge. Dempster was flooded between Potter and greenwood. The water Was up to the doors on the F350. The Desplaines River crested at Central and Golf. Golf F350 could not get Through water up to the Hood. And at central The water was About 3 in higer than bottom of door.

WHEN DRIVING THROUGH RESIDENTIAL AREAS THAT ARE FLOODED DRIVE VERY SLOW!!!!!! SLOWER THAN IDLE. THE WATER WILL RUIN THE HOUSES BREAK WINDOWS AND PUT A SHIT LOAD MORE WATER INTO THE HOUSE.
