Just hope it doesn't burn up. If you have the money you should go grab another one just in case. you can always return it afterwords. there is still a lot of rain coming.

frack, somehow the float on mine hung up. I've got an inch in parts of the basement. Tapped it and it's busy draining again. Good thing it's unfinished.

Plus my parent's house in Lincolnwwod flooded again. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day...

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

thats a good thing.

funny thing is i live right next to a small river and dont even have a sump in the basement. There is never any water in the basement unless the creek comes over. The dam water in all these new flat subdivisions just have no where to go.

House on a hill FTW!

(I think the floor of the basement is barely under street-level. We get a little seepage, but nothing unusual for an 80 year old house.)

I wish my pump would run properly. The thing is pumping water out slow as hell. This morning I woke up to about 1/2 an inch of water in my laundry room but no water anywhere else. I got much worse. I took an old ejector pump I had for the laundry room and put it in sump so I had 2 pumps in there. The main pump is not pumping water very well. The ejector one is pumping it fine but it isn't meant to move that much water. My entire basement has at least 1in of water, closer 2. Near the laundry room (where the sump is) its like 3-4 in. Fawk.

well sump pump is now going full steam! It's been working, unfortunatly my basement isnt. Water has been coming in through the sewer and flooded half of it. I swear why cant these villages make a decent fucking sewer system and NOT have the water come back through my basement.

Check your main pump for blockage on the intake or set it up on a couple of bricks w/ holes. in the pit (to keep it from clogging)... also make sure your float is readjusted for the height.

Good luck w/ this one people.. it's going to be a sh!tty 72 hrs...
